A North Antrim man remanded into custody last month accused of the armed robbery of a Brazilian sex worker has been granted bail, but it has yet to be perfected.
39-year-old David Desmond Adair from Springfields in Ballymoney appeared via videolink at Coleraine Magistrates Court sitting in Ballymena Magistrates Court this morning.
On January 25 of this year, Adair allegedly committed multiple offences including aggravated burglary, during which he purportedly carried a handgun, robbery of £750, possessing a firearm with the intention of causing fear, and assault of a female victim.
District Judge Peter King granted bail for Adair on the following terms :
- To reside at his home address
- Curfew from 6pm – 6am
- Electronically tagged
- No access to a mobile phone with internet access
- Cash bail – £1250
- No contact directly or indirectly with the injured party / potential co-accused / witnesses
The matter was adjourned to 12th March 2023.
