Council to discuss future of Ballycastle properties

This week, Councillors will discuss the future of premises formerly home to 'The Bay Cafe' situated at Bayview Road in Ballycastle.

The Bay Cafe (26 Bayview Road) closed its doors for the last time after 12 years in business in January.

In an emotional social media post at the time, Teresa & Stephen said "After 12 years in business, sadly today we have closed our doors for the last time. This has not been an easy decision for us to have made but in the current climate, we feel we have no choice. We can not thank you all enough!!

"Family, friends, staff, and customers for the constant support and kindness that you all have given us over the last 12 years we really couldn't have done it all without you. We have loved every minute!!"

It is understood that Councillors will be presented with a range of options to either sell or lease 25 & 26 Bayview Road, Ballycastle this Wednesday at the land and property sub-committee.

An art gallery formally occupied 25 Bayview Road, Ballycastle.

The item of business will be heard 'in committee'.
