Bishops Road fire believed to be deliberate

A fire on Bishops Road, Castlerock on Thursday evening is believed to be deliberate.  

Three fire appliances attended the incident- one from Ballycastle and two from Coleraine.

A NIFRS spokesperson said "Firefighters were called to approx. 500m of gorse and grass on fire. Firefighters used 2 jets, 2 knapsack sprayers and 4 beaters to extinguish the fire. The incident was dealt with by 9.04pm and the cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate ignition."
