Cllr Wilson hopeful that Dunnes premises in Ballymoney has a bright new future.

In a statement to Causeway Coast Community, Ulster Unionist Cllr Darryl Wilson said

“In recent days speculation has been growing that a new owner has been found for the vacant Dunnes premises on Church Street in Ballymoney.

In recent years we have seen a resurgence within our town centre with many vacant buildings becoming occupied by an array of new business. We have also seen the beginning of a series of redevelopment projects across the town centre including sites on Linenhall Street, Market Street and Charles Street, all of these sites have been derelict and vacant for decades, so I think that it is fair to say that the town is moving in the right direction.

Speculation that “Payescape payroll services and HR solutions” are set to potentially acquire the vacant Dunnes premises is very welcome news indeed. Hopefully, the speculation becomes a reality and the resurgence of our town centre continues into 2019 and beyond.”
