Dunluce Avenue Car Park in Portrush scheduled to reopen this weekend

1 Mins read

Local Alliance Councillor Chris McCaw has welcomed confirmation by the Council that Dunluce Avenue car park in Portrush, is scheduled to reopen this weekend.

Speaking after a Portrush Regeneration meeting on Monday evening, Chris said, “This car park has been closed since November, which has been a source of real frustration for business owners on Dunluce Avenue, who have undoubtedly lost revenue. There now needs to be a final health and safety inspection, so that it can reopen this weekend. I hope this goes ahead as planned, as businesses were concerned the car park would be closed until the end of March.

I would like to thank the council and contractors for getting this work completed as quickly as possible. I would also encourage business owners and members of the public to attend the council’s weekly information sessions, which are held every Friday at Portrush Town Hall from 12pm to 1pm. These are a great opportunity to get questions answered about plans for the Open.”
