Visitors to Portstewart will notice that one of its most famous establishments, Morellis, will be closed due to renovations this coming week.

An official opening is currently being planned.

A spokesperson said “We’ve invited local celebrity Sarah Travers to metaphorically cut the ribbon in an afternoon that will also include some fun and games with Brian Moore but full details will follow”

The restaurant is due to reopen on Saturday 13th April.

The Coleraine Chronicle, earlier in the week published incorrect dates of the closure online in which locals took to social media to let their friends and followers know that Morelli’s Of Portstewart was still open for business.
