Children's trampoline set on fire at Macosquin play park

A trampoline at a children's playpark was torched last night in the Ramsey Park area of Macosquin.

Firefighters were called to the incident shortly after 7pm where they used 1 jet to extinguish the fire.

A Council spokesperson said "Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council was alerted to an incident in its play park at Macosquin at around 7pm on Wednesday 11th August.

A trampoline in the park was set on fire, in what is thought to have been a deliberate act of vandalism.

This is the latest in a series of attacks against Council property, which are wholly frustrating and disappointing.

We would urge anyone who witnesses any suspicious activity or antisocial behaviour at any Council-owned facilities to contact the PSNI by ringing 101."
