Patrick Robert Nigel Simpson appeared before Ballymena Magistrates Court this morning sitting in Antrim Magistrates Court charged with a number of offences including aggravated burglary, burglary, attempted burglary, and assault on police.
The charges follow reports of suspicious activity in the Riverside Ave area of Coleraine during the early hours of Monday 30 May.
Police objected to bail on the grounds of committing further offences and the possibility of interfering with witnesses.
The court heard how Simpson had 256 previous convictions.
The judge said that the defendant had an "appalling record" and bail was refused.
The case was adjourned to 13th June 2022.
