Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is reaching out to ensure you know ‘Where To Turn’ if you are experiencing financial difficulties.
January can be a difficult month for many people, but support is available if you’re facing difficulties due to debt, benefit changes or low income.
This week, Council is expanding the visibility of its ‘Where To Turn’ campaign by installing billboards and outdoor advertising in locations across the Borough.
With ever rising household costs and the ongoing effects of the pandemic, it is vital that those who are struggling are aware of the excellent support avenues open to them.
Commenting on the campaign, the Mayor, Councillor Richard Holmes, said: “Increased financial burdens are a very real problem for many people living in the Borough and it is vital we help those in need by ensuring they are aware of the organisations that can help them.
“With an increase in the number of people experiencing crisis, we want to get the message out that debt advice, fuel support or emergency essentials from a Foodbank are all available.
“It can feel isolating and overwhelming, especially for those who find themselves in this situation for the first time, and we are determined to make sure that we are reaching those in need and directing them to the correct organisation.”
“If you know a friend, family member or neighbour who is struggling, please help us spread the word by telling them about Where To Turn. It may be that this simple action will make a truly positive impact on their life at a time when it is most needed.”
