Time to Talk Day is the UK’s biggest mental health conversation. It takes place today Thursday 3rd Feb 2022.
A recognised day when friends, families, and whatever community group you belong to can come together to talk, listen and change lives.
One in four of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year.We need to create a society where we all feel comfortable talking about our mental health whenever we like. We all have mental health, just as we have physical health, and we need to look after it.
Unfortunately many in our society feel they can’t talk openly about their mental health, they fear they will be judged by others. Opening up a conversation about mental health problems is really important, by talking about it we support ourselves and we can be a support to others.
Thankfully public awareness and understanding of mental health has improved in recent years. Take the stigma out of talking about it, open up in a circle of trust.
As a result of the past two years and what we have come through with the coronavirus pandemic, there has never been a more important time for us to connect and talk with each other about our mental health.
Talk, Listen and Change Lives.
