A Darkness into Light walk will take place locally this weekend in Portrush in memory of Mac O'Neill, who died last year following a single-car collision on Ballymoney's Ballybogey Road.
Aged 22 at the time, a talented rugby player and a former student of Coleraine Academical Institution, the Co Antrim man was described as a 'gentle giant' in online tributes.
In his memory, his Aunt Lauren Quigley has organised a darkness into light walk to support the charity, Life After.
Life After help and support people who have lost loved ones as a result of a road traffic collision and help to raise awareness of the effects of road death.
The walk will commence from Kelly's Complex on Saturday morning, 22 January 2022 at 7am, stretching nearly 7 miles along the coastline where Mac spent most of his life, then followed by refreshments at The Deerstalker.
The family asks that you make a donation of £10 which will include refreshments and a contribution to Life After.
Donations can be paid on the day or online.
