‘Delivering real change for the people of East Derry – Archibald/McGurk

Sinn Féin East Derry candidates Caoimhe Archibald and Kathleen McGurk have today handed in their nomination papers to run in the Assembly election on 5 May.

Speaking after nominating at the Guildhall, Caoimhe Archibald said:

“The most important election in a generation takes place on 5 May, it is an opportunity to deliver real change.

“That means strengthening our health service, giving our children a world-class education, building affordable homes, and creating good jobs so the next generation has a future here.

“And it means putting money in the pockets of ordinary people and working families to support them through the cost-of-living crisis.”

Kathleen McGurk added:

"I am delighted to have been selected as a candidate for the Assembly election.

"I hope to build on the work that I have done as a councillor in recent years.

“Sinn Féin’s priority is to make politics work, and to show that real change is possible in making people’s everyday lives better.

"We are committed to building a modern progressive society based on fairness and equality.”
