An East Londonderry MLA has been targeted by online troll(s) in recent weeks.
MLA Maurice Bradley says that he has reported the content to the police. In a social media post, he says that the troll(s) are "lost in the insignificance of their own self-inflated importance."
A troll is a person who posts inflammatory, insincere, digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an 'online community' such as social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), a newsgroup, forum, chat room, online video game, or blog, with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses, or manipulating others' perception.
