Ballywillan Drama Group: The Railway Children

1 Mins read

This family favourite was first staged in the National Railway Museum, York in 2008/9, followed by 2010/11 productions at Waterloo Station, London and this year at King’s Cross Station with all three venues breaking box office records.

Now the play comes to Coleraine and tell the story of a prosperous Edwardian family – mother and three children – forced into near penury on the rural north of England and captures the anxieties and exhilarations of childhood with great tenderness and insight.

The production will evoke many memories for the adult theatregoer and introduce this wonderful and moving show to the young.

‘Oh, my daddy, my daddy!’ one of the greatest moments in the history of British cinema or theatre, of course ends the play – so everyone bring your hankies!

Proceeds from the production will enable BDG to purchase a defibrillator for the Riverside Theatre.

Riverside Theatre: 25th – 28th March, 8PM

All Tickets: £12.00
