Residents, visitors and traders enjoyed a weekend of ‘Coleraine Goes Country’ on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th March. The FREE event, organized by Coleraine Borough Council, funded by the EU’s INTERREG IVA Cross-border Programme, brought country music stars to cafes, restaurants, bars and shops throughout Coleraine town centre over two days.

There was a great turnout at the big stage on Friday evening for Richie Remo and Saturday evening, despite heavy rain for Lee Matthews. The Mayor of Coleraine speaking at the event said, “It’s great to see so many families here this evening having fun and enjoying the live music.

“Coleraine Goes Country’ organisers aimed to hold an event for the enjoyment of everyone.  Local businesses within Coleraine Town Centre were encouraged to get involved and those who did have had a positive response from shoppers.

“Council is pleased to confirm that ‘Coleraine Goes Country’ will return in 2016 and aims to be even bigger and better than 2015!”
