Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre in Limavady continues its superb film programme with two fabulous cult classics to kick start October!
Described as British cinema’s biggest cult classic, the hilarious and poignant, ‘Withnail & I’ is available for viewing on Thursday 1st October at 11.00am in a special screening designed for parents and babies and again at 7.30pm for everyone to enjoy.
Desima Connolly, Office Manager at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre, the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council arts centre commented, ‘The ‘Cinescape Parents and Babies Coffee Morning’ screenings, encourage parents to sit back, relax and enjoy a series of amazing films, without worrying about how much noise their baby might make!
‘Lighting is kept at a higher level to enable visibility for parents during the screening and sound levels on the film will be slightly lower than normal. Plus they’ll be free tea and coffee provided! Parents are invited to come individually, together, or as a group and enjoy a coffee morning with a difference!’
‘Withnail & I’ is a black comedy film, written and directed by Bruce Robinson. The plot follows two unemployed young actors, ‘Withnail and I’, portrayed by Richard E. Grant and Paul McGann. It features a superb script and an iconic performance from Richard E. Grant, which catapulted him to fame.’
On Saturday 3rd October at 2.00pm, families can enjoy another award-winning film at the Centre, ‘Labyrinth’, starring a young Jennifer Connelly and superstar David Bowie as the Goblin King. The 1986 release is a family fantasy classic directed and co-written by the amazing Jim Henson (Sesame Street).
