Culture Minister Carál Ní Chuilín has congratulated two Game of Thrones production staff on winning Emmys.
The creative Emmy awards were held in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The Minister said: “Ronan Hill, from Ballycastle, received his second Emmy award for outstanding sound mixing for a drama, having won in 2012. Carla Stronge won her first Emmy for outstanding casting for a drama for her work on the programme.
“Game of Thrones has been and is a very successful series, much of which is filmed in the north at the Titanic Studios in Belfast and several other locations.
“I congratulate Ronan and Carla on winning these prestigious awards and this once again showcases the talent of our local people.
“When people behind the scenes win, I am extremely proud that their talent is recognised as quite often it is the people in front of the camera that are honoured.
“I wish Game of Thrones and all its actors and behind the scenes staff good luck for the main Emmy ceremony in 20 September.”
