Hollywood Superstar Coming to Portrush this summer

2 Mins read

Who would have ever thought ‘Jack Bauer’ of Fox Television Series, 24, was also a rising country star.

Well that is the case for Hollywood superstar Kiefer Sutherland who is confirmed has co-headliner for a huge country music event coming to Portrush this summer. The Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actors accolades include some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters such as The Lost Boys and A Few Good Men to name but a few as well as the lead role in the current popular Netflix series, Designated Survivor.

The event, Farmer’s Bash ‘Live At The Beach’ which is the outdoor summer version of the Belfast show which sold out the SSE Arena last October and is part of the recently launched Live At The Beach Weekend Music Festival, is coming to Portrush on Friday 9th August and with a huge bill just announced.

Kiefer Sutherland will take to the stage with Country stars Nathan Carter, Lisa McHugh, Una Healy and Marty Mone. With two hit albums to his name and a third one just released following a recent sell-out UK Tour, the organisers believe Sutherland’s style of country music will be a perfect fit.

Peter Wilson of Kelly’s Portrush who is co-promoting the weekend festival with LSFX Productions and creators of the Farmer’s Bash, said; “We are delighted to be bringing a piece of Hollywood royalty to Portrush this summer in the form of Kiefer Sutherland. I have watched many of Kiefer’s movies and to have him part of this exciting new event for Portrush this August is fantastic.

We have already sold over 5000 tickets for our LUSH! Classical Concert the following night and we expect the Farmer’s Bash ‘Live at the Beach’ show to be equally as popular. This is a huge year for Kelly’s as we celebrate 50 Years as N.Ireland’s premier Entertainment Complex. There is no better way to celebrate this than a weekend of fantastic music, under the spectacular backdrop of sun, sand and sea!”

Darren Garden of LSFX Productions said; “The Farmer’s Bash is undoubtedly the biggest country music event in N.Ireland and with our SSE Arena show nearly sold out again this October, it made perfect sense to bring a second version of the show to Portrush this summer as part of the recently launched Live at the Beach weekend event, hosted by Kelly’s Portrush.

We are really excited about our line-up for Live at the Beach and with Kiefer Sutherland as part of the bill, it gives fans a rare chance to get close to one of the biggest names in Hollywood who is also a very talented musician and actor. The Farmer’s Bash, driven by our good friends the GRASSMEN, is a family friendly event and we invite everyone along to what is sure to be a fantastic evening of entertainment at the famous seaside resort of Portrush.”

Tickets for Farmer’s Bash ‘Live at the Beach’ go on sale from Wednesday 1st May at 9am and are priced at £30 for general tickets and £50 for VIF Tickets ‘Very Important Farmer’ (the VIP Club), plus Booking Fee/Service Charge.
