1 Mins read

Have you always wanted to compose and write your own songs? Why not sign up to a unique one day course at the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre, Limavady on Saturday 26th September 2015?

Facilitated by local songwriter Richard Abbott, the ‘Sing Your Own Song’ workshop will guide participants through the entire process of songwriting, from the inspiration, the creativity and the melody composition. It will take place at the prime Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council art centre, between 10.00am and 5.00pm

Richard Abbott has successfully composed songs for the ‘Eurovision Song Contest’, has a wealth of achievements in the industry and has just published his book ‘Musical Conversations’, which is available to purchase at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre.

Speaking ahead of the course Richard said, “The only criteria needed to take part in the workshop is the want to find out more about song-writing, and the desire that you would love to write songs.

“No musical ability is required, but equally anyone who is a musician, or a songwriter will also benefit greatly.”

Places on the course is limited to twelve. It is suitable for participants aged 18+ years-old. To book your place or find out more information, contact the team at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre via telephone on 028 7776 0650 or visit the website at www.roevalleyarts.com/learning.
