19-year-old dies following RTC in Aghadowey

A 19 year old male from Kilrea has died following a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a lorry on the Agivey Road, Aghadowey yesterday, Saturday, 14 May. A second male was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are believed to be serious.

Inspector Ian Armour would appeal to anyone who was travelling on the Agivey Road yesterday at approximately 5.00pm and may have witnessed this incident to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on the non-emergency number 101.

It is anticipated that the Agivey Road will remain closed for some time. Motorists should seek alternative routes if possible.
