30-year-old man assaulted in Limavady

Police are appealing for witnesses to an early morning assault in Limavady.

A 30 year old man was attacked by a group of people between Anderson Park and Drumachose Park at around 7.30am.

He sustained a number of injuries, none which are believed to be life threatening.

Sergeant Jonathan Fawcett said: “At this time we believe three males and a female may have been involved in the attack and that at least one of the assailants was armed with a baseball bat. Anyone with information that could assist our investigation can contact police on 101.”
