Councillor Richard Holmes has said that the community is in shock following the announcement of the closure of Four Seasons Care Home in Garvagh.
Cllr Holmes said: “The community is still in total shock following the announcement that the Four a Seasons Care Home in Garvagh is to close along with six others in Northern Ireland operated by the company.
This is a huge blow to the residents of the home and their families which has a great name for the fantastic care they have given to the residents. Obviously at this time the main concern is that residents are placed as close as possible with the appropriate care type.
For members of staff and families alike this could not have come at a worse time in the mouth of Christmas. A town like Garvagh can’t afford to lose so my jobs. They are hard to find in close knit rural communities.
The UUP will do everything in their power to help in this difficult situation
