Abandoned Vehicle sparks late night search in Portstewart.

At 0300 on Sunday 6th September, Coleraine Coastguard was tasked to assist the PSNI, following the discovery of a vehicle parked near the water, unlocked, with its hazard lights activated.

Items of clothing and a mobile phone were also found in the vehicle. As the Police carried out enquiries, Coastguard Search Teams were deployed along the coastline.

The search was terminated when the Police located the vehicle’s owner safe and well at an address in Portrush.
