Ballymoney Police Station to become Central Hub.

Ballymoney Police Station will become the central hub of policing in the new Policing District next month.

The station will be the Headquarters for the new North Area which will cover the new council districts of Causeway Coast and Glens, Derry and Strabane, Antrim and Newtownabbey and Mid and East Antrim.

Policing Districts are being reformed to match those of the new council areas in a bid to improve engagement with councils and other agencies.

According District Commander, Chief Superintendent Raymond Murray said that one of the main priorities of the new Policing District will be to tackle drugs by encouraging people to report suspicious activity to the Police
