Ballycastle man Barry Lyttle has pleaded guilty to the charge of causing Grievous Bodily Harm to his brother Patrick in an Australian Court this morning.

Lyttle was charged with the offence back in January when he punched his brother and caused him to fall to the ground and hit his head. This caused Patrick to fall in to a coma and require emergency surgery. Patrick woke from his coma after almost one week and has since made a full recovery with no permanent injuries.

Patrick is reported to want the charges against his brother dropped, however, with his guilty plea, Barry could be facing a prison sentence of up to two years.

Sentencing will take place next week.
