Benone Strand named one of UK’s Top Spots for Surfing

1 Mins read

Benone Strand, which stretches for 7 miles from Castlerock to Magilligan Point has been named as one of the top spots for surfing in the UK by Coast Magazine.

Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) Campaigns Director and keen surfer Andy Cummins had this to say about the beach:

“Benone and Downhill Strands form one of Ireland’s longest beaches stretching for seven miles to Magilligan Point. This beach break is relatively uncrowded compared to other north coast beaches and long lines of swell offer ideal peaks for the beginner or longboader.”
