Bid to change Council name, defeated.

A bid to change the name of the incoming Causeway Coast and Glens Super-Council has been defeated.

The proposal which was put forward at a meeting of the Council last night would have seen the “Glens” part of the title removed, with the name becoming simply “Causeway Coast District Council.

The proposal failed to gain support and was defeated.
