Car set on fire near Agherton Cemetery

A car was set alight in Portstewart near Agherton Cemetery during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said:

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 2:40am to a report of a car on fire at the Agherton Road area of Portstewart on Wednesday 27th April

“One Fire Appliance from Portstewart Fire Station was deployed to the scene to a car well alight in the area. Firefighters using a hosereel jet dealt with the incident.

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 3:06am and the fire is being treated as deliberate.”
