A man in his 40s from Castlerock has been killed following a collision on the M1 near Drogheda in the Republic of Ireland.
The crash happened at approximately 12:45pm yesterday afternoon when the lorry the man was driving crashed in to a van that was parked on the hard shoulder after breaking down. The lorry over-turned and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The body was taken to Our Lady of Lourde’s hospital in Drogheda where a post-mortem will be carried out.
