Causeway Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Hungarian Ambassador

Causeway Chamber of Commerce in association with Mr. Ken Belshaw, Honorary Consul for Hungary in Northern Ireland hosted an informal lunch for local business representatives to meet the Ambassador of Hungary, His Excellency Mr Peter Szabadhegy and His Excellency Mr Istvan Palffy, Hungarian Ambassador to Ireland.

The aim of the visit was to provide local business in the field of export an opportunity to connect with Hungarian Representatives and to hear first hand from local businessman Gareth Wilson of Wilson Agriculture about doing business in Hungary.

In his presentation Ambassador Péter Szabadhegy explained Hungary’s successful economic performance and gave a brief overview of the country’s excellent logistic infrastructure as well as labour force capabilities. He added that the Government has introduced incentives for maintaining sustainable and balanced economic growth and to facilitate a business friendly environment. During the lunch participants shared their experiences regarding Hungary and discussed possible ways of further cooperation between Northern Ireland and Hungary.

His Excellency Mr Peter Szabadhegy commented, “Every time I visit Northern Ireland I experience the nice balance between professionalism and extraordinary hospitality.”
