Chivers welcomes Christmas free parking

1 Mins read

Sinn Féin councillor Brenda Chivers has welcomed the council decision to allow free parking across the borough in the run up to Christmas.

Colr. Chivers said “This will be welcome news to hard hit local businesses as well as customers at this busy time of year. We have been calling on the council to spread some festive cheer and lift these fees which will hopefully lead to increased footfall throughout our town centres.”

“The free off street parking will be available for the last 3 Saturdays in the lead up to Christmas. This is a simple but effective way for our local authority to give back to the community.”

She added “I am also happy to say my proposal to use the Limavady council offices car park for overflow was accepted.
