Chivers welcomes free car parking in Limavady

1 Mins read

Sinn Féin councillor Brenda Chivers has welcomed the announcement that car parking on the Limavady Main Street car park will be free again.

Cllr. Chivers said “This news will be most welcome to local shoppers, businesses and people who work in the town. There was a public outcry when the DRD originally implemented the charge. Hopefully this announcement will encourage more people into the town which will drastically improve the footfall for the local shops.”

She added “I have submitted a proposal to council that parent and children spots are made available in the council car parks which I hope will be passed.”
