Coastguard assist with Medivac after Tourist injures leg at Giant’s Causeway

Coleraine Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to the Giant’s Causeway yesterday at around 2pm following a report from the National Trust Warden that a visitor to this popular site had sustained a leg injury, following a stumble.

The Coastguard Team worked alongside NIAS paramedics and NT rangers to ensure that the injured man was evacuated safely to hospital.

The CG Team also gave assistance to the casualty’s companions, who were all Spanish, to return to their car in Bushmills and then proceed to the Causeway Hospital.
