Coastguard assists Ambulance Service with Medivac at Magilligan

In the early evening of Sunday 6th March, the Coleraine Coastguard Team was tasked to the Magilligan area to support Northern Ireland Ambulance Service personnel who were dealing with a serious motocross accident.

The Coastguard Team prepared a landing site for Irish Coast Guard Helicopter, Rescue 118, and assisted with the transfer of the casualty to the helicopter.

The casualty was then flown to Belfast, accompanied by a NIAS paramedic.
