Coastguard rescue Missing Man from Portstewart Harbour

Coleraine Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to Portstewart at 2:20am following a request from the PSNI for assistance in locating a vulnerable male, considered to be at significant risk.

Ten members of the Coastguard Team prepared for a possible water rescue as Police Officers located the missing man in a precarious position at Portstewart Harbour.

Thankfully the man at risk was taken into the protective care of the Police and taken to hospital. Both Portrush Lifeboats, a NIAS ambulance and a NIFRS unit were also tasked to this incident.
