Coleraine Coastguard Assist Paramedics With The Extraction Of An Injured Male

Coleraine Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to assist NIAS Paramedics yesterday afternoon around 17.15 hrs with the extraction of an injured male tourist from a coastal path at the Giant’s Causeway. The man had suffered a leg injury and had collapsed. Coastguard Rescue Officers worked alongside NIAS personnel to transfer the injured man on to a Coastguard stretcher. He was then carried to safety by the Coastguard Team, before being taken by ambulance to hospital.

Two National Trust staff also assisted with this incident.
