Coleraine Coastguard tasked to Portrush Harbour to assist a boat owner who had fallen from his moored vessel

At 1020 approx. on Saturday 25th July Coleraine Coastguard were tasked to Portrush Harbour to assist a boat owner who had fallen from his moored vessel.

The man had managed to clamber back aboard his boat, before transferring to local angling vessel, The Causeway Lass. The crew of the Causeway Lass became concerned for the man’s well being and quickly called the Coastguard. He was transferred by NIAS and Coastguard personnel to a waiting ambulance and taken to the Causeway Hospital.
