1 Mins read

A Coleraine woman who crashed in to a petrol pump and the drove off has been banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay a fine of £525.

58 year old Helena Ralph pleaded guilty to failing to provide a sample, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident and driving with excess alcohol.

CCTV showed Mrs Ralph’s car crashing in to the pump as well as showing her drive off once approached by the manager of the Petrol Station.

Mrs Ralph is said to have been very distressed by the time Police caught up to her as the implications of her actions began to sink in.

District Judge McNally told Ralph that he had considered giving her a suspended prison sentence due to this being her second offence in a short period of time and warned her to be careful in future.
