Contentious Rasharkin Parade passes off without major incident.

Police are content that the Ballymaconnelly Parade in Rasharkin on Friday 21 August passed off without major incident.

Superintendent John Magill said: “We have engaged extensively with parade organisers and Rasharkin community representatives in the past weeks and months. I believe that this engagement was beneficial.

Superintendent Magill concluded: “Disorder is never inevitable and I am satisfied that the parade was a safe event for everyone involved.”
