Council gives green light to new Diversity Park at Flowerfield Arts Centre

1 Mins read

Members of the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Planning Committee this afternoon voted in favour of granting planning permission for the proposed new Diversity Park at Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart.

The park, which is aimed at catering for both disabled and able bodied children alike was already given the go-ahead in December of 2014 by Coleraine Borough Council, however the lowest tender for the construction work withdrew their bid earlier this year.

Councillor Mark Fielding put forward the proposal that the committee approve the application. The proposal to approve was put to a vote, and was passed unanimously.

More details about the application can be found here: http://www.causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Item-4.3-Council-Interest-Item-C-C-2015-0108.pdf
