Councillor Darryl Wilson calls for public transport increase in Balnamore.

1 Mins read

Ulster Unionist Councillor Darryl Wilson has written to Translink requesting that additional bus services be provided between Balnamore and Ballymoney.

The people of Balnamore have been feeling increasingly isolated since the loss of a privately run town bus service a few years ago. The “logans bus” was a lifeline for many people in my home village, it passed through on a regular basis throughout the week. I have been contacted by numerous people who have been affected by the transport reduction.

Young families and the elderly in particular have been impacted over the last two years since the service was withdrawn. I have asked Translink if they would consider increasing current provision, I have outlined the detrimental impact that the current level service is creating.
