Councillors meet with TransportNI to discuss state of roads in Loughgiel, Cloughmills and Dunloy

Sinn Féin Councillors Philip McGuigan and Kieran Mulholland are meeting transport NI to discuss the state of the road network in the Loughgiel, Cloughmills, Dunloy area.

Councillor McGuigan said: “I have been inundated recently by constituent’s calls about the nature of some of the local road network in and around Dunloy, Cloughmills and Loughgiel area. Massive potholes and craters are appearing on the roads and are not only damaging cars but posing quite a danger to road users.

“I understand that the winter can be sore on the roads but these potholes need to fixed much quicker than is happening at present.

“I have been informed that a number of roads will be repaired on Monday which is welcome news but myself and my colleague Councillor Kieran Mulholland are planning to meet with Transport NI to show the other damage and discuss the problem”
