Causeway Coast and Glens Deputy Mayor, Cllr Darryl Wilson has welcomed the Health Minister’s decision to halt the proposed closure of statutory care homes.

Cllr Wilson said In light of the imminent closure of the Four Seasons care homes , the minister has halted the proposed closure of statutory care homes.

This appears to be a temporary measure by the Minister, I will continue to urge him and his department to make a long term commitment to statutory care homes by Investing and upgrading the infrastructure which is already in place.

Our immediate concern is now for the 254 patients and 393 staff who will be adversely affected by today’s announcement.
