Duncan urges a vote to Remain

1 Mins read

SDLP North Antrim Representative Connor Duncan Urges North Antrim to Vote Remain on 23rd June.

On Thursday I’ll be voting to remain a member of a strong, united and prosperous European Union. Throughout years of instability and conflict on these islands, Europe has remained a consistent and supportive partner, underwriting our peace process and sustaining core industries like Manufacturing and Agriculture.

Treasury statistics show that North Antrim will be £198 Million worse off every year if we leave Europe. I have yet to hear a convincing argument for how we can replace that resource. Europe provides jobs, investment and a robust human rights framework. It’s critical that people defend our position by voting to remain on Thursday. This is a once in a generation vote. Our future will be shaped by the outcome of this referendum.
