Dungiven man convicted of Benefit Fraud

A man was convicted at Londonderry Crown court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

Richard Caldwell (47) of Bovevagh Road, Dungiven claimed Income Support and Incapacity Benefit totalling £6,815 while failing to declare employment. He was given a three month prison sentence suspended for 12 months.

He is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
