Mobile Phone networks EE and 02 are currently experiencing problems across their networks with customers having trouble making calls.
An EE spokesman said: “We’re aware customers from EE (and other networks) are having issues calling landlines. We’re investigating urgently.
The company apologised to users via Twitter, saying: “The EE Network is currently experiencing national technical issues regarding calls and signal.
“Our engineers are fully aware of the problem and they are working to fix it as we speak.”
O2 also addressed the problem over Twitter, telling one customer “We’re aware some customers may be unable to call EE mobiles or landlines”.
In another tweet, the company said “our call routing partner are investigating a problem within their network”.
O2 are advising customers to check its live status checker.
