Fire breaks out at Derelict House in Portrush

The Coleraine Road in Portrush was closed this morning after a fire broke out at a derelict property.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said:

“Northern Ireland Fire& Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 4:16am to a report of a fire at derelict premises at the Coleraine Road area of Portrush this morning (Monday 9th May).

“2 Fire Appliances from Portrush Fire Station, one Fire Appliance from Portstewart Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Coleraine Fire Station were deployed to the scene. Firefighters dealt with a well-developed fire at a 3 storey derelict terraced building.

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 9:05am and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.”
