Free Microchipping at Dogs Trust Microchipping Roadshow

1 Mins read

Dogs Trust, in partnership with Ballymoney Borough Council, is hosting a Microchipping Roadshow next week.

This follows the success of previous roadshows.  To date over 1,500 dogs have been microchipped at these events since the first one was organised in January 2012.  The roadshow, alongside the valuable microchipping work undertaken by local veterinary practices, allows owners to licence their dog in accordance with the amended dog licensing requirements introduced in April 2012.

Microchipping has a number of benefits.  These include the return of stray pets directly to their owner, a deterrent to dog theft and the identification of dogs in emergency situations.

The roadshow will be visiting the Borough from Monday 23rd to Saturday 28th March.  Owners will be able to get their dog microchipped and registered free of charge thus potentially saving up to £30.  The whole process takes less than five minutes and a member of Dogs Trust staff is on hand to give advice.

The roadshow will be visiting various locations throughout the Borough on the following dates;

Monday 23rd March: Chapel Car Park, Dunloy, 11.00am – 12.30pm
