Free weekend car parking in the lead up to Christmas

1 Mins read

The Ulster Unionist party grouping are delighted that Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council have approved their proposal to offer free car parking at weekends in the run up to Christmas 2015 throughout the Borough .

Cllr Wilson said “Our proposal to offer free car parking over three weekends in December was designed to benefit both shoppers and traders alike.

Helping to ease the burden on local shoppers at Christmas time was our primary objective. We hope that our “free parking” initiative sees increased footfall in town centres across the Borough throughout the festive period. Local traders depend on increased sales at this time of qyear which in turn helps bring about benefits to our local economy.”
