Houses damaged by fire in Ballycastle

Fire Crews were called out this morning to reports of a house fire in the Glentaisie Drive area of Ballycastle.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said:

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 8:05am to a report of a fire at residential premises at the Glentaisie Drive area of Ballycastle this morning (Monday 28th September).

“2 Fire Appliances from Ballycastle Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Coleraine Fire Station were deployed to the scene. Two bungalow properties were badly damaged during the incident, with residents out of the properties before the arrival of Firefighters. Two other properties received slight smoke damage during the incident.

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 9:43am and the fire is being treated as a deliberate fire. The incident has been passed through to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.”
